Fourways New Home Build Wins LABC Award

We were delighted to hear this week that a new home we built in Clifton has won the Local Authority Building Control Award in the category of ‘Best Individual New House’.

This was a unique project with some very special considerations – for example the entire house needed to be designed around an old ash tree with a preservation order in the garden. We used traditional building materials externally including natural rubble stone to create a rustic look, whilst the interior was constructed to be a contemporary, open-plan, flexible living space.

It took a lot of perseverance to obtain planning permission for this project, and a great deal of hard work to bring it to completion, so it is fantastic that it has now been recognised by the LABC awards. It will now be put forward for the LABC regional awards, and if it wins regionally it will be entered in the LABC Grand Finals which are held in London in the autumn.
