The Advantages of a Design and Build

As our company has grown and developed over the years, we’ve seen the Design and Build side of our business go from strength to strength.

It’s an area we have a genuine specialism in, and we also find these projects among the most rewarding to work on. Taking a project from just a set of drawings on paper through to an outstanding completed home is a real pleasure. Here are five of the benefits of a Design and Build project:

1. Character and Personality

A Design and Build project gives you the opportunity to put your own stamp on a property and tailor it to your own specific tastes and needs. For many people, a new build home means buying a property which is part of a new estate. This option gives you the assurance of a certain degree of quality and the advantage of knowing the property is untouched by any previous occupants, but it will also tend to lack any kind of character and individuality.

By contrast, a Bespoke design and build project gives you the opportunity to think about what you really want from a home, and we can incorporate all those little touches into the build that will pay dividends over the years you live there. Your home will be one of a kind – perfectly tailored to the way you live.

2. Your Input

With our Design and Build projects, your input can be as much or as little as you want. We offer a full service, including everything from producing the architectural drawings and applying for planning permission to bringing in our interior designer to add interior fixtures and furnishings when the build is complete.

This means that you can take a fully hands-off approach if you wish, and we will just hand you the keys when the property is finished. However, you are also more than welcome to have greater involvement in the process, and we are always happy to work with an architect and interior designer of your own choosing.

3. Quality and Reliability

Each Design & Build project is led by a Project Manager. They will always be on hand to keep you updated on the progress of the project, ensuring you know what is going on at each stage. This gives you a full picture of what goes into the build – you know that no corners are being cut and the same standards of excellence are being met from start to finish.

Using a Federation of Master Builders member like Bespoke guarantees an extra level of quality – only companies with a high level of workmanship expertise and a well-run business are able to claim membership.
